Safety Advisory and Voluntary Service Program for Projector

On 14th May 2014, Mitsubishi Electric Asia Pte Ltd issued a Safety Advisory and Voluntary Service Program for selected models of mounted Mitsubishi Electric Projector sold in Singapore between 2001 and 2014.

Recent findings have shown that a combination of factors including high temperature, high humidity and mounting framework may affect a Projector's casing over a period of time. If the casing weakens, it may potentially cause the Projector to be displaced from its mount.

Mitsubishi Electric prides ourselves on the quality of our products. We are also committed to our customers' continued enjoyment of our Projector as well as their safety. Therefore, we are launching a Voluntary Service Program for two categories of Projectors set out below.

Customers are encouraged to call us immediately to schedule a complimentary on-site inspection and a safety rework. Our in-house engineers and our authorised service partners will inspect the mounted Projectors to make an assessment. The rework will include amongst others, a safety wire kit and Kensington lock to be installed. Both the on-site inspection and safety rework is complimentary, at no costs to our customers.

In the meantime, we would advise that the area beneath the Projector be safeguarded due to the potential risk of the displacement of the Projector.
