WiFi Adapter for "MyME" App

What is “MyME”?
"MyME (My Mitsubishi Electric)” is an app that allows the controls of your Mitsubishi Electric air conditioners via your smart phone.
What do I need to use “MyME” app?
You would require a compatible* smartphone, broadband router with wireless LAN function and Wi-Fi interface MAC-597IF-EM.
I cannot connect the Wi-Fi interface MAC-597IF-EM with my network.
Please check that your routers or access points is close enough to your Wi-Fi interface MAC-597IF-EM. Obstructions like walls could also reduce the range significantly.
Is it possible to connect to router via WEP code or another connection method?
No, currently Wi-Fi interface MAC-597IF-EM can only connect to access points or routers that support WPS connections.
What security protocol should I use on my router to allow connection to “MyME” app?
You should use WPA2-AES protocol, you may not be able to connect if you use other protocols.
Does Wi-Fi interface MAC-597IF-EM support Dynamic IP Addressing?
Yes, Wi-Fi interface MAC-597IF-EM does support Dynamic IP Addressing, if you connect Wi-Fi interface via WPS then any future dynamic IP address changes do not affect the correct operation.
My system does not control correctly, and I am getting strange behaviour?
Please check that the local controllers or other control systems or users are not overwriting and conflicting with “MyME” app. If you are using Timer function in “MyME” app, please delete any timer settings in your local controllers and vice versa to prevent conflicts.
How quickly will my control setting be sent to the unit, there seems to be a long delay?
Communication time between the system and servers should be within 1 minute.
Can I control my indoor units directly, when at home without connection to the internet?
Direct local control without internet access is not possible.
Is there a maximum distance that the Wi-Fi interface MAC-597IF-EM can be installed from the access point or router?
This will vary dependent on multiple factors, please position the Wi-Fi interface MAC-597IF-EM as close to access point or router as possible.
Can I connect any other Mitsubishi Electric equipment to “MyME” app?
Currently only Starmex series are compatible with “MyME” app but we are planning to add support for other product ranges in future releases.
Do I have to use Mitsubishi Electric Wi-Fi interface MAC-597IF-EM, or can I use a third-party interface to connect to “MyME” app?
You can only use the official Mitsubishi Electric Wi-Fi interface MAC-597IF-EM, you will not be able to connect to our servers, and we will not be able to support if you use any other interface.

No, we are unable to work with Google Home or Amazon Alexa currently.
Is there a fee to use “MyME” app?
MyME” app is free to use. (Communication charges may be incurred when downloading or using the app).
Is “MyME” app available on tablets?
It’s recommended for the app to be used on smartphones for compatibility.
Can I share control of “MyME” app with my family members, and how many people can I share it with?
Yes, sharing control is possible. However, each person must create their own account to enable shared access.
Why doesn’t “MyME” app reflect changes made immediately when using the physical remote? Is this normal?
Yes, this is expected behaviour. It may take up to 5 minutes for the signal to sync through the cloud and appear in “MyME” app.
Why does my previous or other Wi-Fi adapter offer more features compared to “MyME” app, which seems limited?
“MyME” app is continuously being improved, and we recommend enabling automatic updates to ensure you receive the latest features and enhancements.
I forgot my password for “MyME” app. What should I do?
You can reset your account by selecting the “Forgot Password” option on the login screen and following the instructions.
I lost my phone that had access to “MyME” app. What should I do?
You can regain access by logging into the app on another device using your existing login ID and password. To protect your account, we recommend changing your password to prevent unauthorized access.
