Assistant Manager (SAP Applications)


Job Description

As an SAP Applications Assistant Manager, you will drive continuous improvement of the SAP S/4HANA environment through hands-on delivery. The role focuses on identifying opportunities, standardizing processes, gathering and harmonizing business requirements, and translating them into scalable SAP solutions. Working closely with stakeholders, the role maximizes standard S/4HANA functionality and leverages SAP-certified third-party tools to address complex business needs and deliver measurable value.


Your Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Management

  • Manage the full project lifecycle, including requirements analysis, functional and technical specification preparation, system configuration, SIT, UAT, training, go-live, and post-go-live support. 
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within agreed scope.

Business Process & Solution Design

  • Develop a strong understanding of end-to-end SAP business processes.
  • Analyze business requirements, identify pain points, and propose effective SAP-based solutions to support business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Drive process harmonization and standardization across business units.

Stakeholder Management

  • Engage proactively with business stakeholders to identify process improvement and digital transformation opportunities.
  • Facilitate discussions to align business needs with standard SAP capabilities and approved add-on solutions.

SAP Configuration & Optimization

  • Configure, enhance, and optimize SAP S/4HANA solutions in line with business requirements.
  • Evaluate alternative approaches and recommend optimal solutions based on system capabilities and best practices.


Your Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4 HANA configurations and optimisation.
  • Proficient in MS Office 365 and SAP S/4HANA tools, including SAP Analytics Cloud.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables.


Your Profile

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • 8 years of relevant enterprise SAP experience, preferably with strong exposure to Sales & Distribution (SD) and Materials Management (MM).
  • Exposure to additional SAP modules such as FICO, CS, BW, and SAP Analytics Cloud is an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to produce clear functional and technical documentation.
  • Strong time management skills with a high level of ownership and accountability to meet deadlines and deliverables.
