Mitsubishi Electric Asia,together with parent company Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, participated for the forth time in Eco-Products International Fair (EPIF) 2008 held at the National Convention Centre in Hanoi (Vietnam). EPIF 2008 was staged from 1st to 4th March 2008, and set the highest record of 98,469 visitors compared to its past events.
Under the slogan 'Environmental Vision 2021', Mitsubishi Electric showcased 25 eco-related products in the exhibition. Some of the new products on display included Solar Photovoltaic modules, The MoveEye air conditioner, W-class Refrigerator, High speed hand dryer and recycling technology.
Dr Tamotsu Nomakuchi, Chairman of the Board for Mitsubishi Electric Corporation and Chairperson for GP Advisory Committee (Japan), delivered his key note speech on the topic of "Technology and Action for a Sustainable Society" during the event. Highlighted were Mitsubishi Electric's environmental efforts to consistently introduce innovative technologies which boost energy efficiency, and environmental friendly products, as well as ensuring environmental measures implemented at operational sites and CSR activities in order to create a sustainable society.
